Caring for Your Jewelry

Each piece of Grounded Ceramics jewelry is handcrafted from porcelain and 14K gold-filled or sterling silver components. With proper care, your jewelry will stay beautiful for years to come.

  • Porcelain care                                      

    Porcelain is lightweight yet extremely durable, but it can chip if dropped on hard surfaces.

    • Store pieces separately or in a soft pouch to protect them. 

    • To clean, gently wipe with a damp cloth. 

    • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives that may scratch the surface.

  • Gold-filled wire component

    Gold-filled components are high quality and resistant to tarnish. With care, they can last a lifetime.

    • Keep away from chlorine, salt water, and strong cleaning products, which may dull the finish.

    • To restore shine, polish gently with a soft jewelry cloth. I recommend sunshine polishing cloths.

  • General Care

    • To keep your jewelry in pristine condition, remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or exercising.

    • Apply lotions, perfumes, and hairsprays before putting on your jewelry to minimize exposure.

    • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
